NewStyle® Shutters FAQ

No. The composite surface is smooth and uniform — they look and photograph like painted hardwood shutters. The difference becomes apparent if you look very closely at the texture, but in normal use they're indistinguishable.

For sliding glass doors, we use a bypass track system where the shutter panels slide left and right on a rail — exactly like a sliding door. This lets you access the door fully without swinging panels into the room.

NewStyle® composite shutters are generally more affordable than Heritance® hardwood. For many applications — especially kitchens and baths — composite is the practical choice.
