Limited Lifetime Coverage

Extends to the original retail purchaser of Custom Brands Group window covering products that were properly installed and maintained. We will repair or replace, at our option, a defective product. Repairs use like or similar parts — colors may vary and an exact match cannot be guaranteed.

Coverage Periods

Internal mechanisms, components, brackets, and fabric delamination: lifetime. Cords, ladders & tapes: 7 years. Motorization components (purchased from Custom Brands Group): 5 years. Exterior roller shades: 5 years. Specialty shades: 1 year. Shutters: 25 years. Return shipping included for goods under 12 months old.

What's Not Covered

Normal wear and tear, abuse, accidents, or misuse. Exposure to the elements (sunlight, moisture, salt air, humidity). Improper installation or failure to follow care instructions. Labor costs for removal and reinstallation. Return shipping at the purchaser's expense for goods over 12 months old.

Alta sources natural materials from responsibly managed suppliers. Bamboo is particularly renewable — harvesting a bamboo grove does not destroy the root system, allowing rapid regrowth.

Liner Options for Privacy

Natural woven shades admit light through the weave. Add a light-filtering, room-darkening, or blackout liner behind the woven material for privacy without losing the natural look on the face.

Roman or Roller Style

Choose a Roman fold for classic cascading horizontal folds, or roller style for a flat clean roll. Both styles work with the same natural materials.

Layering Friendly

Natural woven shades layer beautifully with drapery panels — adding texture and organic warmth as a base layer under fabric drapes.

Natural Woven Shades FAQ

Natural fiber shades are best in climate-controlled rooms. We do not recommend them for bathrooms, laundry rooms, or any area with persistent high humidity — moisture can cause natural fibers to mold, warp, or discolor.

Without a liner, natural woven shades are semi-transparent — light and silhouettes will show through at night when interior lights are on. For daytime privacy in a ground-floor room or nighttime privacy, we strongly recommend adding a fabric liner.

Yes. Alta natural woven shades can be motorized with battery or hardwired Somfy motors. Motorization is particularly convenient for high or hard-to-reach windows.
